O epizodě podcastu
Few Czechs know the United Kingdom and how it operates like Jiří Hošek. As a foreign correspondent for Český rozhlas between 2012 and 2017, Jiří covered two key milestones in British political history: the Scottish Independence referendum and the Brexit referendum. He has travelled the length and breadth of the UK, and even wrote a book on his time there (entitled Jiná Británie), which came out in 2018. In this episode, we discuss working as a foreign correspondent in the UK, the possibility of an EU referendum in the Czech Republic, and finally, how Jiří’s famous love of Tottenham Hotspur began.
